01/50
A poster is not decoration. It's a work you're lucky enough to be able to own.
The underground poster has left the street wall for the gallery. Exhibitions of screen-printed concert posters keep multiplying, and French studios now publish art prints with bespoke framing. The graphic gesture, collage, halftones, a restrained palette, is recognised as an art form in its own right. No Culture, Just Art is not a slogan, it's a statement of fact.
What gives it value
The value of a print does not come from the talk around it. It comes from the mechanics: a textured, certified paper, colours laid down one by one, real scarcity, a signature, a number. 01/50 means fifty, no more. The signature amplifies; it doesn't create value on its own.
That's why we number. Not to fake scarcity, but because strict selection is the product. Fifty people will own this poster. Everyone else will have missed it, and that's the point.
The right paper, the right frame
A poster lasts if it's printed on the right stock and protected by the right frame. Black paper, ash, a touch of rust. Powerful lettering. The rest of the wall can stay bare.
